There are 3 major international airports serving the New York Metropolitan area, and for most foreign visitors, it is at one of these airports where they will arrive in the United States. These three airports are: John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK, "Kennedy"), Fiorello La Guardia Airport (LGA, "La Guardia") and Newark International Airport (EWR, "Newark") that is actually in nearby Newark, New Jersey.
