Information on attractions, accommodations, and dining in Kentucky -
and much more, including things to see and do, parks and recreational areas, annual and special events, and climate information!
I lived in Kentucky for a while when I was in the Army. I was stationed at Fort Knox and we lived in Elizabethtown, which turned out to be an excellent location for exploring the state. Two of the things I enjoyed most about living in Kentucky were the wonderful state parks and the beautiful falls. Kentucky is a great vacation destination and a good getaway location for the entire family.

State Parks and Recreation Areas
The state of Kentucky has some wonderful state parks and recreation area as well as some national parks and recreational areas. Two of my favorite are Lake Cumberland (Lake Cumberland State Resort Park) and Cumberland Falls (Cumberland Falls State Resort Park). (Kentucky State Parks) Kentucky also has some wonderful Resort State Parks. (Kentucky Resort State Parks)
The Tennessee Valley Authority also has several recreational sites that revolve around water related activities. For information on these sites (Along with navigation charts for boaters.) you can contact the TVA at 101 Haney Building, Chattanooga, TN 37402-2801.
