Like Lanai Molokai is one of the islands where you can still get a glimpse of old Hawaii. If you hurry you will still have time to see Hawaii as it once was and experience the beaches, walk along trails with vaulting sea cliffs to your back, enjoy the sweeping farm and ranch lands, and trek through the mountains and forests. Some of the prettiest areas of the island lie along the western shore where you will find one of the largest white-sand beachers anywhere, Papohaku Beach. Just to the north is the beautiful pali which rises in a vertical wall almost 2,000 feet! This too is a great island in which to rent a car and do some exploring on your own.
