| The Worley Homestead Inn in Dahlonega
is listed on the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The driveway in
front of this 1845 ancestral home was once the old road to Atlanta and as
such has seen its share of history. The Inn stood stoically by when in 1860 young men and boys marched off to Atlanta to join the Civil War. One of those men was Captain William J. Worley.
