Moye White House

Your travel source with a personal touch!

The Moye White House may be the most attractive in Westville, both outside and in. It was built in Cuthbert around 1840. The facade is a very good of Greek revival architecture.

Inside the house are fine examples of typical parlors of the day. Below is the winter parlor. Notice that the furnishings are a bit dark, along with the floor covering. This is also the location of the piano as, seeing it is winter and it would be dark earlier, this would be a place for entertaining on long winter evenings.

The summer parlor is much lighter with warmer walls and floor coverings.

Below are two views of the north bedroom. Notice the curtains on the walls as they were made from the fabric that was being woven in the Bryan House.
