The Bryan-Worthington House was built in Stewart County in 1831by Lovered Bryan in 1831and is a fine example of the Federal period architecture that was popular at that time. The exterior of the house is painted the same colors as were on the original house.
Inside of the house is where the looms are located and it is on these looms that many items are made for use in Westville.
Although the interior of the house is authentically decorated with period pieces, the main parlor of the house is taken up by a large weaving loom.
The house represents the dwelling of the operator of the gin and cotton press across the road. The gin operator would want to located quite near his gin and press. |
