Although the Miami beaches, especially the trendy South Beach, and the good weather are the greatest tourist attractions in this city, there is much more to explore.  The city offers a large number of tourist attractions, along with a great nightlife, shopping, sports, and more. Find the best hotel deals in Miami at Miami Hotels, the leading hotel reservations site for the city.

South Beach
Visitors can soak up the Miami atmosphere in this relaxing part of the city.  Art deco architecture and clear blue waters form the backdrop of the South Beach get-away.  It’s a great place to enjoy art galleries, museums, restaurants with outdoor seating, shopping, the beach, and more.  Seven blocks have been turned into a pedestrian mall, where you can shop and eat in a relaxing atmosphere.

Seaquarium
Centrally located, the Miami Seaquarium is a spectacular outdoor aquarium.  Exhibits include dolphins, sea turtles, sea lions, seals, and even killer whales.  Visitors to the Seaquarium can watch feeding and trainer presentations, a trained dolphin show, as well as the killer whale show.

Miami MetroZoo
The tropical climate in Miami allows the Miami MetroZoo to have a large variety of animals from Africa, Asia, and Australia.  This free-range zoo has no cages, with animals grouped together that co-exist peacefully in the wild.  Visitors can view more than 300 rare and exotic species of birds, as well as get the chance to feed a giraffe.

Miami Museum of Science
Children and adults will enjoy this museum, which offers rotating exhibits as well as their permanent exhibits.  Visitors can catch a show at the planetarium, or spend time at the wildlife center. The museum also houses the Weintraub Observatory's two powerful telescopes which are operated daily.

Parrot Jungle Island
This attraction is both fun and educational.  It is a place where visitors can see tropical birds up close.  Not only can visitors see parrots, penguins, and an array of other birds, they can also see tigers, llamas, kangaroos, monkeys, baboons, various reptiles, fish, plants, and many other species.  Jungle Island offer three daily shows.

Miami Children’s Museum
This is a great place for children to spend time exploring through educational play.  As an educational and entertaining place, children can enjoy hands-on or interactive exhibits including Television Studio, Castle of Dreams, Bank, The Sea and Me, You and Me and Teddy Bears Too, All About Art, Supermarket, Health & Wellness Center, and Safety Zone.

Monkey Jungle Park and Research Center
While the primates run wild, the human visitors walk through wire pathways, which gives them an all round view of the monkeys in their natural habitat.  Visitors can purchase dried fruit and peanuts, which can be used to feed the monkeys by placing it in hanging baskets, which is an excellent way to bring the many species nearer for a close-up look.

Miami Beaches
With the great weather, visitors do not want to miss out on the chance to enjoy one of Miami’s great beaches.  There are many beaches to choose from, including the well-known South Beach.  The Virginia Key Beach is located near the Miami Seaquarium.  For those looking for a quieter beach with fewer tourists, go to the Homestead Bayfront Park and Marina, which offers swimming, boating and a full-service marina.
