Farmington
Valley
Farmington Valley Visitors
Association. Connecticut's
Farmington Valley
is just the right kind of place to spend a country getaway. Picture the great
outdoors. Add a little style, New England charm, history, gourmet dining, a
crackling fire for two, and you have the Farmington Valley where there is always
plenty to do! Pick a lodging, add on
an adventure, and you'll have a Taste Of The Outdoors. Canoe one of nature's
most picturesque rivers, or kayak the site of the '96 Olympic trials. Hike, bike
or in-line skate on the new Farmington Valley Greenway. Fly fish on Connecticut's
only designated "Wild and Scenic River," or enjoy the whole valley
from a hot-air balloon.
Farmington Valley
is the kind of place to go when you want a romantic escape for just the two of
you. Dine by candlelight at fine restaurants and rekindle your romance by a cozy
fire. Or, when the family wants time together, splash in the pools of
resort-like hotels, fill up on great burgers, ride a roller coaster, meet baby
animals at a nature center or tube the river rapids. Whether the scenic
Farmington Valley is painted white by snow, green by summer's sun or gold by
autumn's brush, you'll have a good time, anytime!
