| 4WD Adventures : Colorado
- The aim of the book is to get SUV owners
started on four-wheel driving trails that are scenic, historic and safe.
The book offers a stunning Colorado history section, including
vivid photographs and nice descriptions about the establishments of
townships and quirky facts and contains far more information than its
title would lead you to believe. It is an excellent resource for many
different facets of the 4WD sport and the state of Colorado. Highly
recommended. |

Colorado Lakes & Reservoirs
- Find out all you need to know about the recreational opportunity found on
(and in) the lakes and reservoirs of the state of Colorado.
| Roadside Geology of Colorado
- I like to travel throughout Colorado and have found this book to be
very useful in understanding the form and geologic history of the
landscape I am traveling through. The book is well illustrated and
detailed enough to be useful, at least for the person with a
non-professional interest in geology. My major regret is that it is not
available on CD or tape so that it could be more efficiently used with
only one person in the car! |

has lured explorers and visitors to Colorado's Front Range for hundreds of
years. The enticing Garden of the Gods at its feet, with odd-shaped
sandstone spires and abundant wildlife, is worthy of coming back to again
and again. Find out why in this beautiful coffee table book by one of
Colorado's premier nature photographers. |

|

| Colorado Byways: Backcountry drives
for the Whole Family - Colorado has one of North America's most
extensive networks of scenic unpaved backcountry roads, many of them rich
in history. With so many people now driving 4wd, high-clearance
sport-utility vehicles, these often little-known and little-traveled
adventure roads are finally accessible to just about anyone. This
easy-to-use, glovebox-size guidebook is the most comprehensive backcountry
touring guide available for the Centennial State. It depicts not just the
scenery, but the history and culture of Colorado as well. You will find
backcountry byways through the entire range of Colorado's diverse
landscapes, from the river gorges of Dinosaur National Monument to the
sky-scraping peaks and passes of the San Juan Mountains. It includes
difficulty ratings, information sources, even campgrounds and relevant
Internet Web sites. Most routes are rated easy to moderately difficult,
although some, like Black Bear Pass, will appeal to adventure drivers who
want more challenging 4x4 routes. Happy trails! |
