Roseville is located 405 miles north of Los Angeles, 102 miles northeast of San Francisco, and 16 miles north of Sacramento, the state capital. Roseville is located on the eastern edge of the Sacramento Valley at the base of the Sierra Nevada foothills. Because of its proximity to the foothills, Roseville has slightly different weather averages from Sacramento.
