Return to Tubac
|
As soon as you walk through the gate leading
to the garden, and see the inviting front porch of the Tubac Country Inn, you
know you are in for a truly memorable experience. Not only does the inn provide
you with comfortable, intimate lodging; but it is located in one of the most
picturesque areas of Arizona. Located in a unique artist colony, you are just a
short walk from the Santa Cruz River in the very heart of the village of Tubac.

The inn has 5 suites and double rooms, each
with a personality of their own. All have a small kitchenette and queen-size
bed. And, in all rooms, after a good nights sleep you are greeted in the
morning with a complimentary breakfast basket brought right to your door. |

Each of the spacious guest rooms reflect the history of the
village and the southwest. |

Most of the rooms feature two beds, |

and some have separate bedrooms. |

All of the rooms feature comfortable living areas. |
Each room also has a small kitchenette complete with a
selection of coffee, teas, hot chocolate and cider. All of the rooms overlook
the private garden.
As nice as the rooms are in the lower level of Tubac Country
Inn, I believe the two upstairs suites are the most interesting. In fact, an
entire family could rent the upstairs with the children having their own bedroom
with a comfortable seating area, and the parents having a private room complete
with a living area and a full kitchen.
|

|
The children would have all they need in this
upstairs suite that includes a double and a single bed, a TV, and a place
for games or relaxing. There is also a kitchenette in this room. One window
looks out over the old town of Tubac, while the other looks down on the
private garden. Of course, this room is completely
private from the second upstairs suite making it perfect for two couples
traveling together to have the upstairs to themselves. This suite can also
be booked independently from the second upstairs suite. |
| The second upstairs suite is practically an
apartment. There are four rooms that include the main bedroom and living
area, a second bedrooms with a "loom room," and the kitchen.
The comfortable queen bed in the main bedroom is situated so
you can open the windows in the evening for cooling upper desert breezes all
night long. |

|
|

|
There is also a comfortable living space on
the other side of the main bedroom for relaxation.
The window in the living area overlooks the private garden. |

Just off the main bedroom is a smaller second bedroom, with
the attached "loom room" where you are invited to try your hand at weaving. |

|
|
 |
The private garden offers guests meandering
walkways through
a quiet sanctuary filled with cactus, mesquite trees,
and a nice selection of indigenous flora. And, you can still enjoy the
garden from the comfort of the country porch. |
 |
It seems that the air is filled with the sound of the many
song birds that frequent the garden. Even if you do tire of relaxing in your
room or the porch, there is the on-site gallery filled with Native American art,
jewelry and other items, and you are within a short walk to the village with
over 50 shops and galleries. I love this place and know you will also. Jim.
