Getting Away, in conjunction with Mountain Views Inn, offers a great getaway for couples and singles who are looking for a real action adventure. From the minute you arrive, until the day of your departure, you will have an Ecuadorian experience that will make you the envy of your friends.
| You will be welcomed and guided to your room where
you will have a bit of time to unpack and settle and perhaps be refreshed
and relaxed as you unwind from your flight in the outdoor heated pool or the
whirlpool. During the afternoon, and in the early evening, you will meet
the others in your group by the pool and enjoy corn pastries (humitas),
tamales and coffee, followed by a traditional and authentic Ecuadorian
meal that will begin your Ecuadorian experience. You will also meet your
guest and preview the exciting week you have ahead of you. Here is a quick
summary of your stay: Day 1 - Welcome and orientation Day 2 - A tour of the great farmers market Tumbaco, or rafting in the rainforest. Day 3 - Visit the Mindo Cloud Forest where you can raft, swim, sail down the zip line, see the Mindo River Valley from the Tarabita Skyway Basket, and visit a butterfly farm. Day 4 - Visit Chiche Canyon and either mountain bike or enjoy a nice walking trail before visiting Ilalo where you will rest at a cave and have a wonderful cleansing ritual performed by a Shaman. Day 5 - Visit Otavalo (where the equator runs thru) and then visit the market. After lunch, take a boat ride on beautiful Cuicocha Lake that lies within a volcanic crater, and then enjoy a hike on the edge of the crater. Day 6 - Take the tram at Quito where you can hike to see volcanoes, and then Pasachoa and take a hike through one of the few remaining stands of original Andean Forest before visiting the San Juan Cheese Factory. Day 7 - Enjoy a wonderful horseback ride thru the Chiche Canyon before enjoying a typical Ecuadorian lunch. After lunch, you will head for the Amazon Jungle where you can enjoy the natural thermal spring pools of different sizes and temperatures in Papallacta. Day 8 - Return home with wonderful memories and a camera filled with digital images of Ecuador! |

Your visit to the Mountain Views Inn includes meals, lodging, activities, tours, equipment and guides. All you need to do is make a reservation, pay for the week, and then simply enjoy the vacation of your life. All of your needs will be taken care of by the owner Robert and his excellent staff. So, get a group of a dozen or so of your favorite people and enjoy a private week of adventure, or join another group as a single or a couple.
