Getting There
Argentina has excellent worldwide air connections, with Aeropuerto Internacional Ezeiza, outside Buenos Aires, the main international airport. If you're arriving at the Ezeiza airport, there are several buses you can take to Buenos Aires. The buses take a while (up to 2 hours if traffic is bad), but they're a cheaper option than taxis, especially considering the recent taxi scams. The companies Manuel Tienda León (Av. Santa Fe 790, Tel. 4315-0489) and San Martín Bus (Av. Santa Fe 1162, Tel. 4816-7676) offer a half-hourly bus service between its offices in Buenos Aires and Ezeiza airport from 04.00 to 21.00 hours. The fare is $ 14/11 and the trip takes 40 minutes. A taxi or chauffeur-driven rental car will cost between $ 35 and $ 60.

A multitude of land and river crossing points connect Argentina with neighboring Uruguay, Brazil, Paraguay, Bolivia and Chile. Travel from Chile usually involves a hike through the Andes, while overland travel to Bolivia can go through the border towns of La Quiaca, Tarija or Pocitos/Yacuiba. Paraguay can be reached by bus and/or river launch, and the most common crossing to Brazil is via Foz do Iguaçu or Uruguaiana. Uruguay is linked to Argentina by road bridges, and ferries sail between Buenos Aires and Colonia in Uruguay

Upon leaving the country a tax of $ 23,50 has to be paid.

By Air
Argentina is big and, given the enormous size, air is the ideal form of transport as you can cover large distances easily.  Then, to complete your journey, you can later use overland transport.

Five major Argentine airlines attempt to make this big country appear smaller. Aerolíneas Argentinas handles domestic as well as international routes, while Austral covers domestic routes only. Línea Aéreas Privadas Argentinas (LAPA) competes with Austral and Aerolíneas on many domestic routes. Líneas Aéreas del Estado (LADE), the air force's passenger service, serves mostly Patagonian destinations. Dinar serves smaller domestic destinations. Discount deals and passes are advisable as fares are expensive. In some cases, however, flying can be cheaper than covering the same distance by bus.

Purchase an Airpass Visit Argentina issued by Aerolíneas Argentinas and Austral Líneas Aéreas in your own country which allows you to travel cheaply in Argentina, or the Mercosur Airpass for Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay.

Aerolíneas Argentinas, Austral, Dinar, LADE, LAER, LAPA and SW operate domestic flights, Kaikén and TAN operate in the among the provinces.

Domestic flights and flights to Uruguay leave from the Jorge Newbery airport which is to the north of the city beside the Río de la Plata. The airport tax is from $ 4 to $ 12.

Incredibly low airfares, Taca.com's e-speciales give you more time to enjoy your trip and relax at your destination. If your travel plans are flexible, we offer you rock-bottom prices to destinations across the 3 Americas!

By Bus
Much of the country is available by bus.  The Buenos Aires bus station is on Av. Ramos Mejía 1680 near to Retiro Station. Long distance buses have toilets, air conditioning and a bar. Long-distance buses are fast and comfortable; some even provide on-board meal services. However, fares are expensive and fluctuate wildly. Private operators have assumed control of the formerly state-owned railways, but have shown little interest in providing passenger service except on commuter lines in and around Buenos Aires. The provinces of Río Negro, Chubut, Tucumán and La Pampa continue to provide much-reduced passenger service.

By Train
Ferrobaires (Constitución Station, tel. 4304-0028/38); Mitre Railway - TBA (Retiro Station, tel. 4313-8060); Ferro Expreso Pampeano (Once Station, tel. 4331-2702); Urquiza Railway (Federico Lacroze Station, tel. 4553-0044).

By Car
