By Train...
The train is the most popular mode of transportation within Holland. Very few people fly between cities in Holland as it is so small. However, the KLM City Hopper makes frequent flights between major cities. I always travel by train and never worry too much about reservations when moving from city to city. The only time I get reservations is when I plan to travel between the Benelux countries or other locations throughout Europe. If you believe you might like to purchase rail passes for Holland, contact the Netherlands Board of Tourism in Chicago at 312/819-0300.
By Bus...
Holland has a superb bus system that connects most Dutch towns. For schedules you can check at information locations in most, or near most, rail stations.
