By Air...

Most people arrive in Germany by air, at least most people from outside of Central Europe. Lufthansa (Lufthansa) is the national flag carrier of Germany. The major city airports in Germany from the United States include (With the names of the carriers that fly into that
city.) |
 |
Berlin - Delta
Airlines, and Lufthansa.
Dusseldorf - Continental, LTU International Airways, Lufthansa, and United.
Frankfurt - American, Continental, Delta
Airlines, LTU International Airways, Lufthansa, Northwest, TWA, United, and US Airways.
Another way to get to Frankfurt is on Singapore Airlines. They operate non-stop service from New York
to Frankfort. Call 1.800.742.3133 or visit Singapore Airlines
Koln (Cologne) - Lufthansa.
Munich - Continental, Delta
Airlines, LTU International Airways, Lufthansa, United, and US Airways.
From the United Kingdom you should contact Air UK (0345/666-777), British Airways (0345/222-111), or Lufthansa (0181/750-3300).
For domestic service you should contact Deutsche BA at the Munich headquarters at Franz-Josef-Strauss International Airport (089/9759-1500), LTU in Dusseldorf (0211/941-8888), or Lufthansa at any German airport of one of their many downtown offices.

By Rail...
Germany can be reached by rail from all over Europe. You can contact the German Rail System, Deutsche Bahn (German Rail and Train Information) or one of these sites: Rail Europe , Eurail Point-To- Point Tickets , or European Rail Maps .
By Bus and Car...
Germany may also be reached from throughout Europe by bus and automobile because of the extensive road system of Europe. Add to this the autobahns of Germany and the country is quite easy to get around in. U.S. drivers need only t have a driver's license (an international license is helpful, but not necessarily needed), international car-registrations (the rental car company will take care of this), and proof of insurance. If you are from an EU country, Switzerland, or Norway, all you need is your domestic license and proof of insurance and all foreign cars must have a country sticker.
