Barlaston, Stoke-on Trent
Be sure to visit the Wedgewood Visitor Centre for shopping, pottery demonstration, the museum and gallery, and a theatre. Have a good look at the three centuries of Wedgwood pottery. Wedgewood Visitor Centre, Barlaston, Stoke-on-Trent, ST12 9ES, tel. 01782.204218. Bronte Country
While here you will want to visit Gawthorpe Hall where Charlotte Bronte was a regular visitor. And, if you are a real Bronte fan and enjoy novels like Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights, you will just love wandering around this area. You can also see the village of Cowan Bridge (near Ingleton) where the local school provided the inspiration for the Lowood School in Jane Eyre and find Ann Bronte's grave at St. Mary's Church in Scarborough. Visit this site for more information. Haworth, Bronte Country and the Brontes

Cambridge
Cambridge is an interesting town and one I really enjoy walking.  Be sure to spend at least a day in this wonderful town.  And, be sure not to miss a tour of King's College while you are there.

Covent Garden
Covent Garden Life is a great web site where you can find all about Covent Garden's restaurants, bars, shops and clubs, and much more.  The site will really help you to understand how Covent Garden can make it the ideal location for a great day or night out. Visit CoventGardenLife.com, for the best places to go in London.  I have spent many enjoyable hours in Covent Garden and I am sure you will also.

Maidstone, Kent
Leeds Castle has been called by many the "Loveliest Castle in the World" and if may just be. You can either visit the castle on your own or on a tour with Evan Evans (0208.332.2222), Frames Richard (0207.837.3111), or Golden Tours (0207.233.7030). By rail, Connex South Eastern, 0870.603.0405. Leeds Castle

Stonehenge

Warwick
I love Warwick Castle and am sure you will also. It is perfect for the entire family. Climbing around the ramparts, towers and fortifications is great fun. The inside of the castle, the Great Hall and the State Rooms are wonderful. And, the wax figures depicting the Royal Weekend Party and the Kingmaker will be enjoyed by all. Warwick Castle

Woodstock
Blenheim Palace is a wonderful place to visit. This is the birthplace of Winston Churchill. The palace is filled with wonderful furniture, paintings, and much more and the grounds that surround the place are outstanding. Be sure make time for a visit to Blenheim Palace when you are in the Oxford area and stop in the village of Woodstock for lunch. Blenheim Palace is a World Heritage Site. British Tourist Authority - The Great British Heritage Pass

The Yorkshire Dales
The Yorkshire Dales is filled with things to see and do in Northern England and I have found this area a wonderful place to rent a car and explore on your own. It has also been the location for several movies and television programs including All Creatures Great and Small. Check this site The Yorkshire Dales for some interesting things to see and do in the Yorkshire Dales.
