I love the city of Edinburgh. In fact, it is one of my favorite large European city. I especially enjoy the easy transition from the New Town to the Old Town. Edinburgh is divided by a large park into an old town and a new town. It, just as Rome, is built on seven hills. One of these hills is capped by the famous Edinburgh Castle which looks down the Royal Mile in one direction to the wonderful streets and closes of the Old Town and across the railroad tracks and park to the shopping area of Princess Street, the beginning of the New Town. If you can only visit one city in Scotland, make it Edinburgh!

This is Edinburgh - Edinburgh is the capital and the second largest city of Scotland. Edinburgh is located in Scotland’s southeast region on the east coast of the country’s Central Belt. It is considered one of them most dramatic cities in all of Europe because of its large collection of medieval and Georgian architecture.
