Suggestions For
Dining in Italy
The Authentic Italian Marketplace, A.G. Ferrari Foods, Click here Paul Ferrari says, "Our products are
carefully selected to represent the quality and diversity of Italian foods. For
the products we import, we seek out the "artigiani," small, artisanal producers
who are passionate about what they do. Most of these people have generations of
commitment to making the best, most authentic products possible, using
traditional production techniques. For the products that we make in our own
kitchens, we are committed to using only the best ingredients and to cooking
with them just like the artigiani back in Italy. We are fanatical about both
quality and authenticity and dedicated to sharing our passion for great Italian
food with you, our customers." Can't go to Italy? Bring Italy into
your kitchen with A.G.
Ferrari Foods.
In Assissi
| Al Camino Vecchio - When visiting Assisi, be sure
to have lunch at Al Camino Vecchio. This is a great restaurant, but one you will
probably need directions to find. It is located on Via S. Giacomo. They have a
very nice menu that are filled with local favorites. Don't be surprised if you
are the only tourists in the place as this is one of those hidden restaurants
that is primarily for the locals. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here. Trattoria

Acquerello Italiano
is a bi-monthly Italian audio magazines for the intermediate to advanced speaker
that is designed to take their speaking and listening comprehension to the next level. Every issue,
which is published by Champs-Elysees,
takes the form of an hour long radio broadcast featuring interviews with Italian celebrities as well as up to date news from the
worlds of art, business, literature, politics etc. Previous guests on the programs
include Giulio Andreotti, Alberto Tomba and Federico Fellini. Each magazine comes with a complete transcript and a comprehensive glossary
together with optional linguistic exercises. Available on both CD and cassette.
I have always found that it is always a better, and much more enjoyable trip,
when you can at least speak a little of the language of your host country.
