Camping
There are over 360 official camp sites throughout the Finland.
Many accept Finncamping Cheques, which cost
about $15 (CN $20) per person per night and are valid May 15-September 15.

Cottages ranging from the rustic to the luxurious,
available all over the country. These "holiday cottages," villas and cottages range in price from about

Manor Houses
Another interesting lodging alternative in Finland are the many
"manor houses" which are available. They provide a relaxing escape from the city, as
well as an insightful look into the fascinating history of the houses
themselves. Several of these manor houses are located in Uusimaa and around

Youth & Family Hostels
For the young, and also for entire families, you can find
accommodations in youth and family hostels. Many are located in dorms with
shared bath. Family, double and even single rooms are often available. There are
about 150 hostels open in the summer, some year-round.

Summer Hotels
Another inexpensive alternative for lodging would be the many dorm
rooms that become available during the non-school summer months. The dorms of about fifty Finnish schools and universities open their
doors to tourists during the summer, June through August. Rooms often have
private bath with shower, as well as cooking facilities. Two- to three-room
