Bornholm
This island, which is called the "Jewel of the Baltic," is the place to go if you want some great smoked salmon. It is a favorite for bikers as they peddle through the quaint villages and little seafaring towns. The ruggedness of the cliffs and rock out croppings are inter-spaced with lovely green lands. Copenhagen
This is perhaps the most visited city in Denmark. And, the Little Mermaid there may be one of the most famous statues anywhere. Copenhagen is a major seaport, a seat of royalty, a very "fun" city, and the home of Hans Christian Andersen and Tivoli Gardens. When visiting Copenhagen you may want to purchase a Copenhagen Card which offers admission to over 60 museums and attractions, unlimited travel by bus and train withing the greater metropolitan area, and discounts at participating restaurants, tour and cruise operators (including some of the ferries) car rental, and more. East Jutland
From the wonderful woodlands to the rolling landscapes you will enjoy this place. Especially if you enjoy fishing or boating as there are ample opportunities for both along the coast, along with the numerous lakes and rivers. History buffs will also enjoy the wonderful manor houses and castles that are open to the public. East Jutland is also home to the second-largest city in Denmark,

Greenland
Most people don't even know that Greenland, the largest island in the world, is a part of Denmark. If you are into adventure, Greenland is the place for you with towering icebergs, immense glaciers, whale-watching expeditions, dog sled tours, and wildlife tours where you might be able to spot seals, musk oxen, rain deer, and eagles. Lolland and Falster
These islands, located just across the Faro Bridge from South Sealand, offer visitors beaches backed with wonderful chalk cliffs, deep forests, and interesting fishing villages. Places you will want to see would include Knuthenborg Castle near Bandholm and Europe's largest animal and landscape park, the Medieval Center near

North Jutland
You will have plenty of sunshine in which to enjoy the wonderful beaches of North Jutland as North Jutland has more daylight hours than anywhere else in Denmark. What a wonderful place for a drive in the fall when the leaves turn to gold. You will enjoy meandering throughout the area of North Jutland that includes the coastal areas from Copenhagen to

This wonderful town about 2 hours from Copenhagen is the birthplace of fairy-tale writer Hans Christian Andersen and is considered a "Fairy-Tale City." If you enjoy the water, the West Jutlands are just perfect for you with broad sandy beaches, high dunes from which you can overlook the sea, fishing galore, and wonderful seaside scenery. The area is also quite popular with wind surfers. Driving through the countryside you will come across wonderful thatched-roof farmhouses, quaint country cottages, and interesting market towns.
