Another great idea is to stay at one of the JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts where you can enjoy a new dimension for your vacation or holiday. and Marriott Hotels and Resorts and have found them all to be of consistent quality and service. I have also stayed at some of their Vacation Club properties and have enjoyed each visit. AAA members can get discount rates at Marriott, as can Seniors. Phuket

Trat
Here is something I received from a visitor to Getting Away about a guesthouse in Trat. Jim.
Hi there! I want to make a warm recommendation regarding a guesthouse (Laemngob Centerpoint Guesthouse} in east Thailand near the big city of Trat! (20 min with car) I'm staying there right at this moment. The guesthouse are situated very close to the center point pier at Laemngob were the ferries leaves for Koh Chang and other nearby islands. There is only one guesthouse there at the moment but its very cheap and the owner Chalee Chantadoon! is very friendly and caring person. The room rates are from 80-100 bath a night. all rooms have fan and a balcony from were you have a nice view over Koh Chang. Its a perfect starting point for those traveler that wants to relax one night or two before taking the ferries to the islands (or returning back to Bangkok}. Internet is also available just five minutes walk from there. "Ton Ekvit" is a shop owner and has internet for those traveler that needs to send a message home or anywhere else. Jose Jimenez.
