We've just returned from our trip to England and stayed the last weekend at the Holborn Hotel, which we booked through Hotel-assist at 110 GBP. It is extremely nice and I highly recommend it. The rooms and main restaurant are finished and very nicely furnished and comfortable. The rooms were large. Our daughters' room was supposed to be a twin but actually contained 2 doubles and even had room for a loveseat. The doors, walls and windows were thick and quite soundproof. From the brochure in the room it looks like they will eventually have a bar/lounge but for now it's a small bar in the lobby. Looks like one small area in the lobby needs to be finished. The fitness center is a long way from being done! They began construction work on that around 8 am on Saturday, which could be a problem if you like to sleep late. The full English Breakfast served is buffet style and includes the continental breakfast items also. We were well fed every day. It's a 10 minute walk to the British Museum and the tube stop is only a block away (south on Southampton Row). All in all we would definitely recommend it! Norma
