Shelter Needs List

The following list will help you understand just what types of need the shelter has. They can also use similar items that may not be on this list, and often have special needs. You can contact the shelter at 770.949.0626 if you have questions about any special needs or to inquire as to if they might need a specific item you are thinking of donating.

Canned Meats
ham, tuna, salmon, Spam, corned beef, deviled ham, chicken, Vienna sausages

Boxed Dinners
Hamburger helper, Tuna Helper, any pasta meals and Home Style Bakes complete meals: Creamy Turkey & Stuffing, Beef Chili & Cornbread, Beef Stew and Biscuits, Chicken & Dumplings, Creamy chicken and Biscuits, Cheese Ham and Hash Brown, Italian Pasta with Meatballs and Garlic Bread) and any other boxed dinners or soups

Breakfast Items
cold cereals, canned or fresh fruit, canned biscuits, canned fruit juice, Pop Tarts, Granola Bars, oatmeal, grits, Bisquick Mix, pancake syrup

Personal Hygiene
toilet paper, toothpaste, deodorant, bath soap, mouthwash, shampoo, conditioner, combs/hair brushes, Kleenex, feminine hygiene items, body lotion/sprays

Household Items
bath towels, face cloths, dish cloths, dish towels, twin sheets sets, new bed pillows, blankets, forks, spoons, knives, hand held can opener, plastic drinking glasses, pillows

Cleaning Items
Clorox Bleach, pine disinfectant, mops, buckets, air freshener, Lysol Disinfectant spray, dish detergent, dryer sheets, cloths detergent (powdered)

Infants
Pampers (X-Large, Medium, Small), baby wipes, baby powder, medicated wipes, toys

Storage Items and Miscellaneous Items
Zip Loc Storage Bags, foil, plastic bags, trash can liners, trash cans (2 to 13 gallon) presentation boards, small lamps, small dressers, copy paper, paper towels

Canned and Boxed Foods
vegetables, soups, cereals, pasta and pasta sauce, rice, instant potatoes

Toys and Games
small toys for boys and girls, boxed games, playing cards, books

Clothing
Call the shelter for special needs

Items may be dropped off at Yummy's on the second Monday of each month between 6:00 p.m. and 8:p.m, at Jim Bruner's house at 5614 Richland Drive (anytime), or at Share House, 8460 Courthouse Square East, 4th Floor, Douglasville, GA  30134.
