General Information About Accommodations
Note: One site might state "No Availability" while rooms are still available on another site. Prices might vary between sites and over time. So, don't give up if you are unable to find what you want the first time. Just stay on Getting Away and, SHOP AROUND! Jim
It would be impossible for me to list on this site every place in the world you could possibly spend the night. Therefore I have tried to compile a listing of world-wide hotels, bed and breakfast locations, resorts, hostels, and even campgrounds to help you select the perfect place for your next overnight. Included in the list are telephone numbers and World Wide Web information for selected accommodations locations, some recommendations made by users of this site, and some of my favorites. I hope you will enjoy your search throughout these pages. It is also hoped that you will make this site an interactive one by sending me an E-mail letting me know all about your favorites or perhaps some horror stories about accommodations. mailto:jimbruner@gettingaway.com For most people the largest portion of their travel dollars are spent to pay for accommodations. Because of this, and because nothing can ruin your vacation or holiday quicker than inappropriate accommodations, I have attempted to put together information to help with your getaway planning whether it be for an overnight, a weekend, or an extended stay. For more specific information about accommodations either click on the buttons below or on the links at the top of the page. And, if you still need help, let me know and I will do my best to help out. However, be as specific as possible with you questions. Please don't send me a question such as, "I am going to Rome. Where should I stay?" Instead, be as specific as possible such as, "We are going to Amsterdam and would like a small hotel within walking distance of the major areas of the city center. Do you have any suggestions?" Now that question I can answer! mailto:jimbruner@gettingaway.com |

Being able to speak at least some of the language in the country you are visiting will help you have a better time and enjoy your trip more. Jim. I always suggest you have travel insurance when you travel -- especially when traveling outside of the country. Do You Have Car Insurance? Well, travel insurance is just as important.
